About the Role

We are seeking a motivated DevOps Intern to join our team. This role is ideal for students or early professionals who are enthusiastic about cloud technologies, automation, server management, and deployment processes. You will work closely with our engineering team to streamline infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and ensure smooth operations of applications across different environments.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Server Management: Assist in configuring, deploying, and maintaining Linux-based servers (on cloud or bare metal).
2. Support in setting up and monitoring cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, DigitalOcean, Azure).
3. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
4. Work on containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
5. Monitor server performance, troubleshoot outages, and ensure system uptime.
6. Apply basic security hardening (firewalls, SSL, SSH keys, access control).
7. Automate repetitive server tasks using shell scripts, Ansible, or Python.
8. Document server configurations, workflows, and best practices.

Skills & Qualifications:

1. Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix server administration.
2. Familiarity with Nginx/Apache or other web servers.
3. Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, DigitalOcean).
4. Understanding of networking basics (DNS, Load Balancers, IPs).
5. Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
6. Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes is a plus.
7. Strong grasp of Git & version control.

5. Availability for a minimum of 3-6 months internship.

We would prefer candidates who:

1. Have prior exposure to Linux server setup (Ubuntu/CentOS) in a lab, project, or cloud environment.
2. Understand the basics of database servers (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and how to connect applications to them.
3. Can work with reverse proxies & load balancers (Nginx, HAProxy, Traefik).
4. Are familiar with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or similar).
5. Have interest or basic knowledge in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
6. Show initiative in learning new cloud/DevOps tools quickly.
7. Are disciplined, reliable, and comfortable working in a remote/virtual team setup.
8. Can dedicate at least 20 hours per week for hands-on tasks and learning.
