Summary
We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer with 5-8 years of hands-on experience in cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and infrastructure management. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AWS cloud services, automation, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and monitoring tools. As an integral part of our team, you will help build and maintain robust, scalable, and secure cloud environments to support our development and production workloads.
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer with 5-8 years of hands-on experience in cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and infrastructure management. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AWS cloud services, automation, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and monitoring tools. As an integral part of our team, you will help build and maintain robust, scalable, and secure cloud environments to support our development and production workloads.
Key Responsibilities
- AWS Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and manage scalable, high-availability infrastructure on AWS using services like EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, and Lambda.
- CI/CD Pipeline Implementation: Build and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, AWS CodePipeline, and Terraform to automate the deployment lifecycle.
- Automation & Scripting: Automate manual tasks through scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell, Bash, or Ruby) and configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Containerization & Orchestration: Manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes on AWS. Set up and optimize Kubernetes clusters using AWS EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service).
- Monitoring & Logging: Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using AWS CloudWatch, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Prometheus, Grafana, and other relevant tools.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Define infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit) to enable versioned, reproducible, and consistent deployments.
- Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security best practices on AWS, including IAM roles and policies, VPC security, encryption, and securing CI/CD pipelines. Perform regular audits and adhere to compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Collaboration & Support: Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless application deployment and release cycles. Provide operational support and troubleshooting for AWS environments.
- Experience: 5-8 years of professional experience in AWS-based DevOps roles, with hands-on experience in infrastructure management, automation, and cloud architecture.
- AWS Certifications (Preferred): AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate.
- AWS Services: In-depth knowledge of AWS core services like EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFormation, IAM, VPC, Lambda, and ECS/EKS.
- CI/CD Tools: Strong experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, or CircleCI.
- Scripting & Programming: Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Shell, Bash) and experience with tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation for IaC.
- Containers & Orchestration: Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container management and orchestration, with familiarity in AWS EKS.
- Monitoring Tools: Experience in integrating and configuring monitoring/logging tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
- Security: Strong knowledge of AWS security best practices, IAM, VPC security, encryption, and compliance standards.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with serverless architecture (AWS Lambda, API Gateway).
- Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments.
- Knowledge of Agile development practices and experience working in Agile teams.
- Experience with configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet, or SaltStack.
- Familiarity with networking, VPNs, and other network services in the AWS environment.
