Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Azure Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions in Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have experience in data engineering, cloud technologies, and data pipeline development to support analytics, reporting, and business intelligence needs.
Your future duties and responsibilities
- Design & Development: Build and optimize scalable, reliable data pipelines and data lakes on Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Azure Databricks.
- ETL/ELT Pipelines: Develop, manage, and optimize ETL/ELT processes for structured and unstructured data.
- Data Warehousing: Implement data modeling, schema design, and storage solutions using Azure SQL, Synapse Analytics, and Data Lake Storage.
- Big Data Processing: Utilize Azure Databricks (Spark), Azure Stream Analytics, and other tools for real-time/batch processing.
- Data Governance & Security: Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with Azure Purview, RBAC, and encryption best practices.
- Automation & Optimization: Implement CI/CD pipelines for data workflows using Azure DevOps.
- Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to enable efficient data-driven decision-making.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- 4-8 years of experience as a Data Engineer with expertise in Azure Data Services.
- Strong experience in Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Databricks.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Spark for data processing.
- Experience with ETL/ELT development and data warehousing concepts.
- Hands-on knowledge of Azure Data Lake, Blob Storage, and Cosmos DB.
- Understanding of Azure security, governance, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Git) for data workflows.
- Knowledge of Power BI and Data Visualization (preferred).
