Azure DevOps Engineer (On-Premise)

KalSoft is looking to hire a skilled Azure DevOps Engineer with 7- 8 years of experience in managing and optimizing on-premises Azure DevOps Server (formerly TFS) environments.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and security compliance for on-premises deployments.

This role requires deep expertise in Azure DevOps, PowerShell scripting, infrastructure as code (IaC), and enterprise-level DevOps automation .

This is an onsite full time opportunity for Oman. Key Responsibilities: 1.

Azure DevOps Server (On-Premises) Management Install, configure, and maintain Azure DevOps Server (TFS) on-premises for version control, build automation, and release management.

Manage repositories, branches, permissions, and policies to enforce best practices.

Monitor and optimize Azure DevOps Server performance and scalability .

CI/CD Pipeline Automation Design and implement end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for on-premises deployments.

Automate build, test, and deployment processes using Azure DevOps Pipelines (YAML & Classic UI) .

Integrate with on-premises Git repositories, Artifactory, and third-party tools .

Manage release orchestration and approval workflows for production deployments.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation Develop and maintain infrastructure automation scripts using PowerShell and Ansible .

Implement self-hosted build agents and manage server configurations and scaling .

Security & Compliance Implement role-based access control (RBAC) and security policies in Azure DevOps Server .

Ensure compliance with corporate security standards and best practices for secure DevOps .

Conduct vulnerability assessments, patch management, and audits .

Monitoring & Performance Optimization Set up monitoring and alerting for Azure DevOps.

Optimize build and release processes to improve efficiency and minimize downtime.

Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and deployment failures .

Collaboration & Process Improvement Work closely with development, QA, and IT operations teams to streamline the SDLC process.

Provide training and mentoring on DevOps best practices and tools .

Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides for internal teams.

Required Skills & Experience: ✔ 7-8 years of experience in DevOps and automation, with a focus on Azure DevOps Server (TFS) on-premise.

• ✔ Strong expertise in CI/CD pipeline development and automation in an on-prem environment.
• ✔ Proficiency in PowerShell scripting, YAML, and Bash for automation tasks.
• ✔ Hands-on experience with Ansible, or ARM templates for infrastructure automation.
• ✔ Experience managing on-premise Git repositories, artifact management, and package feeds.
• ✔ Knowledge of Windows and Linux system administration in a DevOps environment.
• ✔ Knowledge of Container based deployments on Windows, AIX, Linux system through DevOps .
• ✔ Experience with self-hosted build agents, job scheduling, and parallel execution.
• ✔ Strong understanding of networking, firewalls, and security configurations in an enterprise setup.
• ✔ Ability to troubleshoot build failures, deployment issues, and performance bottlenecks.
