Position Overview

You'll build the core infrastructure that powers a 10-minute beauty and wellness delivery platform. You'll design scalable systems that connect customers with beauty professionals in real-time. You'll work directly with experienced founders in an early-stage environment where your code impacts thousands of daily users.

Role & Responsibilities

• You design and develop robust APIs using Node.js and TypeScript for the quick-commerce platform

• You build and optimize database schemas and queries using Prisma ORM with PostgreSQL

• You implement real-time features for booking, tracking, and communication between customers and professionals

• You deploy and manage microservices on GCP Cloud Run with proper monitoring and logging

• You integrate third-party services for payments, notifications, and location-based matching

• You collaborate with frontend and mobile teams to ensure seamless API integration

• You optimize application performance and implement caching strategies using Redis Memorystore

Must Have Criteria

• 2-4 years of backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript

• Strong experience with PostgreSQL database design and query optimisation

• Hands-on experience with Prisma ORM or similar database ORMs

• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and handling JSON data

• Knowledge of GCP services, particularly Cloud Run and Cloud SQL

• Experience with Redis for caching and session management

• Previous startup experience or comfort working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments

Nice to Have

• Experience in consumer tech, quick-commerce, on-demand services, or marketplace platforms

• Knowledge of real-time communication technologies (WebSockets, Server-Sent Events)

• Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana and Prometheus

• Background in location-based services and geospatial queries

• Early-stage startup experience with 0-1 product development
