BNG Network Engineer

Overview

We are hiring for Broadband Network Gateway Engineer for PUNE / HYDERABAD On-site location dynamic candidate must have relevant skillset:-

Experience Required: 3 to 5 years

BNG Architecture Knowledge: Understanding of BNG architecture (subscriber management, PPPoE, IPoE, DHCP relay).

• Experience with Nokia’s 7750 SR (Service Router) series or Nokia BNG solutions.

• Protocols and Subscriber Management:

• PPPoE (Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet)

• IPoE (IP over Ethernet)

• DHCP, DHCPv6

• RADIUS / AAA

• L2TP (Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol)

• IP Networking Skills: Deep understanding of IPv4 and IPv6.

• Routing protocols: OSPF, BGP, IS-IS
• MPLS basics (LDP, RSVP-TE).
• QoS (Quality of Service) implementation.

• Nokia-Specific Skills:

• Hands-on experience with Nokia SR OS (Service Router Operating System).

• Familiarity with NSP (Network Services Platform) is a plus. CLI proficiency on Nokia

routers.

• Experience configuring Nokia BNG nodes for high-scale subscriber sessions.

Practical & Troubleshooting Skills

Subscriber Session Management:

• Ability to debug subscriber session issues (PPPoE/IPoE).

• Knowledge of session lifecycle, accounting, and session termination.

• Integration & Automation:

• Experience integrating with AAA, billing, OSS/BSS.

• Scripting knowledge: Python, Ansible (for automation).

• Monitoring and Logs: Using SNMP, Syslog,
• NetFlow for monitoring subscriber stats.
• Familiarity with Nokia
• NSP or third-party NMS tools.

Bonus Skills

• Experience in Dual-Stack
• Deployment (IPv4 + IPv6) environments.
• Worked on BNG Redundancy / High Availability design.
• Understanding of lawful interception (LI), CGNAT, and subscriber data retention

policies (ISP compliance).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 36 months

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹2,100,000.00 per year
