Business Analyst - Internship

About the internship:

ChiStats is scaling its data, analytics, and AI-driven product ecosystem, and we are seeking a high-potential business analyst intern to accelerate key deliverables across our BFSI solution stack. This internship is designed for candidates who have a minimum of 2 years of prior IT experience, preferably serving BFSI clients and are currently pursuing an MBA in finance.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Support end-to-end business analysis across compliance, risk, and financial analytics workflows
2. Lead requirement gathering, process mapping, and creation of functional documentation for BFSI-focused modules
3. Collaborate with technology teams to translate business needs into structured specifications
4. Conduct data validation, dashboard testing, and QA checks on new product features
5. Track industry developments in BFSI, compliance technology, and AI-led automation
6. Contribute to demos, presentations, and internal documentation assets

Stipend:

INR₹ 15,000 - 20,000 /month

Other Requirements:

A. Required qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, IT, or related field 

2. Prior 2 years of IT experience with exposure to BFSI systems or clients 

3. Currently pursuing an MBA in finance 

4. Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills. 

5. Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management capability 

B. Preferred skills:

1. Basic understanding of GenAI concepts and their applicability in BFSI workflows

2. Familiarity with BA toolkits such as requirement-management platforms (Jira, Confluence) and documentation frameworks

3. Exposure to SDLC/Agile methodologies and cross-functional product development ecosystems

4. Understanding of regulatory workflows, compliance reporting, or core financial operations
