The ideal candidate will possess deep domain knowledge of these systems, exceptional analytical abilities, and a proven track record of translating complex business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements to enhance system functionality and ensure regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, document, and analyze business requirements comprehensively through interviews, workshops, and existing system documentation, focusing specifically on functionalities within Fiserv Omaha platforms (Premier, EFT, ACH, PEP+).
- Serve as a primary point of contact and collaborate effectively with various business stakeholders (e.g., Operations, Finance, Compliance), IT development teams, and vendor representatives (Fiserv) to define project scope, deliverables, and timelines.
- Translate high-level business requirements into detailed functional specifications, process flows, user stories, and use cases that can be clearly understood by technical teams for development and configuration.
- Support the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) for initiatives related to integration, enhancements, system upgrades, and issue resolution across the Premier, EFT, ACH, and PEP+ modules.
- Participate actively in the planning, execution, and sign-off of User Acceptance Testing (UAT), coordinating with business users to ensure solutions meet requirements and are production-ready.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including requirements documents, functional specifications, process maps, training materials, and change management artifacts.
- Ensure that all proposed solutions and system changes align with internal policies, industry best practices, and relevant regulatory and compliance standards governing banking operations (e.g., Nacha rules for ACH, Reg E for EFT).
- Assist in troubleshooting production issues, performing root cause analysis, and working with technical teams to implement timely and effective solutions within the Fiserv Omaha environment.
- Facilitate communication and manage expectations between business and technical teams throughout project execution.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst within the financial services or banking industry, with a dedicated focus on core banking platforms.
- Strong domain knowledge and hands-on experience with Fiserv Omaha core banking products, specifically including :
- Premier : Core banking system functionalities.
- EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) : Processing electronic transactions.
- ACH (Automated Clearing House) : Processing electronic debit and credit transactions.
- PEP+ (Positive Pay and Exceptions Processing) : Fraud detection and exceptions handling for checks and electronic payments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to dissect complex issues and propose practical solutions.
- Superior documentation skills, with the ability to write clear, concise, and accurate functional specifications, process flows, and requirements documents.
- Demonstrated ability to translate high-level business needs and challenges into detailed, actionable technical requirements for development and configuration teams.
- Experience participating in and supporting system testing phases, particularly User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with SQL for data analysis and querying is a plus.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Knowledge of other Fiserv products or related banking systems.
- Experience with change management processes within a regulated environment.
