About the role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Analyst (BA) to join our growing Product team. You will be responsible for leading requirements gathering, user story development, and sprint planning for one of our project lines, reporting directly to the Director of Product (Product Owner). You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including UI Design, Engineering, Court Reporting, Sales, and Customer Success.
This role is ideal for a self-motivated BA who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and enjoys being the bridge between business needs and technical execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Development:
- Own and maintain detailed User Stories, including clear Acceptance Criteria, aligned with business goals.
- Collaborate with the UX Designer to ensure stories reflect the intended experience.
- Lead and participate in Story Refinement sessions with developers, QA, and stakeholders.
- Edit, iterate, and prioritize User Stories in preparation for upcoming sprints.
- Ensure User Stories meet Definition of Ready and Definition of Done criteria.
Cross-Project Integration:
- Serve as the Product team’s representative for one of our applications and understand integration between the systems.
- Proactively collaborate with the other BA to ensure seamless user journeys and system interoperability.
- Monitor end-to-end flows for shared features, such as data handoffs or overlapping user interactions.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Act as the liaison between Product and internal teams, including Court Reporting, Sales, and Customer Success.
- Gather feedback from internal teams and users to inform story updates or enhancements.
- Present sprint updates and project insights to leadership and key stakeholders.
Solution Design and Implementation:
- Support the Product Owner in defining and prioritizing features and product enhancements.
- Collaborate with the UX designer to review wireframes and prototypes, ensuring they align with user needs and business objectives.
Quality Assurance:
- Assist in developing test plans and participate in the testing process to ensure the quality and functionality of delivered solutions.
- Work with the development team to identify and resolve any issues that arise during the sprint.
Documentation and Training:
- Contribute to the preparation of product documentation and create release quizzes and user guides (for internal AND external users).
- Provide support and training to end-users and stakeholders on new features and functionalities.
- Provide demos of Remote Legal to new employees and independent contractors.
Product Support:
- Work closely with all RL employees to effectively resolve Prod Support tickets submitted for the respective project.

Requirements:
Experience & Skills
- 2+ years of experience in a product management, business analysis, or similar role.
- Proven experience working on Salesforce or other CRMs
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, with experience running or supporting sprint ceremonies
- Excellent communicator with the ability to write concise, actionable stories and facilitate cross-functional discussions.
- Comfort working in Jira or similar tools, with a good grasp of backlog management and prioritization techniques.
- Basic understanding of UX principles and experience working with UX designers is a plus.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
- Background in court reporting, legal services, or legal tech.
- Familiarity with integrated data environments or analytics platforms.
- Experience working with remote teams across time zones.
