Business Analyst

About the job:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business requirements gathering: Work closely with technical product owners, IT resources, and stakeholders across departments to understand business needs, processes, and objectives. Document analysis to gather detailed requirements for new systems or system enhancements.
2. System analysis and design: Analyze existing systems and workflows to identify gaps, inefficiencies, or areas for improvement. Develop and document functional specifications, system design requirements, and workflow diagrams. Work with IT teams to ensure that system designs meet business requirements and technical standards.
3. Project implementation: Support project planning by developing timelines, defining project scope, and estimating resources.
4. Stakeholder communication and support: Act as a liaison between IT teams and business units, ensuring clear communication and understanding of system requirements and constraints.
5. Data management and reporting: Develop and maintain reports and dashboards that support business decision-making.
6. Continuous improvement: Define and enforce acceptance criteria for features and user stories to ensure high-quality deliverables. Collaborate with the QA team to develop comprehensive test plans, perform acceptance testing, and ensure product readiness. Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions, ensuring that product features meet business and technical requirements.

Other Requirements:

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, or related field.

2. 1-2 years of experience as a business systems analyst or in a similar role.

3. Proficiency in business analysis tools and familiarity with project management software.

4. Strong root cause analysis skills.

5. Strong understanding of business processes and ERP/CRM systems.

6. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

7. Experience with SQL and data visualization tools is a plus.

8. Insurance domain knowledge preferred.
