Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to support our Sanctions Screening function, focusing on false positive mitigation and alert volume analysis using Fircosoft solutions. The ideal candidate will collaborate with compliance, technology, and operations teams to optimize alert handling processes, improve screening accuracy, and reduce operational overhead while ensuring adherence to global regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze sanctions screening alerts generated by Fircosoft to identify patterns and trends in false positives. Work closely with compliance and operations teams to document root causes and define strategies for false hit mitigation. Perform deep-dive volume analysis of alert data across different lists (OFAC, EU, UN, etc.), customer types, and products. Collaborate with technical teams to optimize screening configurations and matching rules. Support tuning initiatives (rule adjustments, data quality improvement) to reduce false positives. Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements for system enhancements or configuration changes in Fircosoft. Develop dashboards and reports for stakeholders to track KPIs, alert volumes, and tuning effectiveness. Participate in testing and validation of Fircosoft configuration changes or version upgrades. Provide insights and recommendations to improve sanctions compliance efficiency and effectiveness. Ensure processes and documentation comply with internal policies and regulatory expectations.

Core/Must Have Skills

8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in Financial Crime Compliance or AML Sanctions. Strong working knowledge of Fircosoft (Firco Continuity / Firco Trust/ Fircosoft Classic ) and its alert generation process. Experience in analyzing large datasets, especially related to sanctions alerting and tuning. Understanding of regulatory requirements related to sanctions screening (e.g., OFAC, UN, EU, etc.). Familiarity with fuzzy matching logic and watchlist screening concepts (name matching, lists management, hit disposition). Excellent communication skills to liaise between business, compliance, and IT stakeholders. Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.). Experience documenting BRDs, functional specifications, and process flows.

Good To Have Skills

• Experience with Fircosoft tuning or configuration changes.
• Knowledge of WorkFusion or other automation tools for alert review processes.
• Exposure to machine learning or AI-based false positive reduction strategies is a plus
• Work Schedule : 12pm IST to 9pm IST
