Job Location : Anywhere in Mumbai.

Key Responsibilities:-

Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and technology teams to elicit and document business and functional requirements for card payment systems—covering credit, debit, and prepaid cards.

BRD/FSD/User Stories: Prepare, review, and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), and user stories using industry best practices; ensure alignment with client and regulatory needs.

Domain Expertise: Leverage in-depth knowledge of card issuance, transaction processing, settlements, fraud management, and dispute resolution. Provide domain insights into card networks, schemes (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay), and payment gateways.

Solution Design & Testing: Define and validate functional solutions, process flows, and operating models. Support end-to-end UAT, demo new features, and maintain test environments.

Agile Delivery: Act as a key liaison in Agile/Scrum environments; conduct requirement workshops, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups. Manage and prioritize work backlogs for cross-functional delivery squads.

Regulation & Standards: Ensure solutions comply with requirements like PCI DSS, ISO20022, EMV, and other industry standards. Document and implement regulatory updates across products.

Stakeholder Engagement: Lead workshops; communicate clearly with developers, architects, QA, and business partners.

Desired Skills & Experience

2-8 years’ experience as a Business Analyst in the card payments or broader payments domain (banking, fintech, or payment gateway environments).

Hands-on experience with card issuance, transaction lifecycle, authentication (3DS, tokenization), and dispute management.

Familiarity with payment systems like POS, NACH, UPI, online payment queries, and settlement processes.

Working knowledge of payment scheme protocols, ISO8583,ISO20022 message formats, and transitioning from legacy to API/cloud-based platforms.

Strong experience with Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence), UML/process modeling, and test case creation.

Analytical, detail-oriented, and adept at resolving contradictions and ambiguities in requirements.

Bachelor’s degree is must; any postgraduate will be plus.

Additional Assets

Experience with modernization projects (moving from legacy to modern, API-driven platforms).

Exposure to fraud risk, regulatory change management, or merchant acquiring is a strong advantage.

Clear documentation, strong communication, and the ability to demo functionality to clients and internal stakeholders.
