The Worldwide Sustainability (WWS) organization capitalizes on Amazon’s scale and speed to build a more resilient and sustainable company. We manage our social and environmental impacts globally, and drive solutions that enable our customers, businesses, and the world to become more sustainable.

The Sustainability Measurement & Abatement Technology team builds technical solutions to track, record, and forecast Amazon's WW impact on the Environment (i.e., Carbon, Water, Waste, etc.). This includes calculating past and current impacts and future abatement plans, ensuring credibility through standards and validations, and highlighting non-obvious opportunities for Amazon’s global business teams.

Key job responsibilities

• Support monthly quality check cycles following the established process
• Validate utility data submissions for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify and resolve data discrepancies in systems.
• Create and maintain documentation for data validation procedures.
• Conduct basic compliance analysis of submissions.
• Assist in identifying outliers and anomalies in existing data.
• Generate standard reports for stakeholder review.
• Support monthly footprint finalization process
• Collecting and aggregating utility data for data processing.
• Providing inbound and outbound data quality control.
• Review data metrics and investigate root causes of data quality issues.
• Work collaboratively with various teams in different geographies and ensure clear communication

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or analytical discipline
• 2+ years of complex Excel VBA macros writing experience
• 2+ years of Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables) experience
• Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
• Experience with SQL or ETL
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Tableau
• Experience using very large datasets
