Overview

Role - Business Analyst II

Experience - 3 to 5 years

NP - Immediate to 30 days

Location - Pune (5 days WFO)

Mandatory Skills - Business Analysis, BRD, Testing & expertise in either of Card Issuing/Acquiring/Switch.

Secondary Skills - Familiarity with microservices-based architectures and message streaming technologies such as Kafka.

Domain - Candidate should have mandatory experience of working in Cards domain.

Budget - 11 LPA

Role Objective 
The Business Analyst II is responsible for supporting business analysis activities across the project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, migration strategy, testing, and quality assurance. The role works closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), product leads, development, and testing teams to ensure business needs are accurately translated into functional solutions, particularly within card management and payment systems.

Key Responsibilities
Study and Design
•    Contribute to requirements gathering workshops and stakeholder discussions.
•    Analyze and document business requirements and ensure clear understanding across teams.
•    Design and document functional solutions aligned with business and technical needs.
•    Prepare migration strategies, including data mapping and transition approaches.
•    Collaborate with SMEs and Product Group Leads to validate requirements.
•    Develop and maintain business requirement documents (BRDs) and solution design documents.
•    Prepare interface specification documents for system integrations.
•    Identify functional gaps and assess change impacts, providing detailed functional impact analysis.

Testing and Quality Assurance
•    Participate in test plans building phase.
•    Define test parameters, scenarios, and data requirements.
•    Execute test cases, record results, and validate outcomes against requirements.
•    Log defects and assist in defect tracking and consolidation for reporting.
•    Provide clarifications and functional support to the Test Planning and QA teams.
•    Participate in defect review meetings and support resolution activities.


Skills and Competencies
•    Strong knowledge of card management systems, including issuing, acquiring, and switching (e.g., PowerCARD or similar platforms).
•    Good understanding of international payment network certification standards (Visa, Mastercard).
•    Familiarity with microservices-based architectures and message streaming technologies such as Kafka. It’s a plus
•    Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams and manage interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
•    Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
•    Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail.
•    Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
