Business Analyst (Japanese JLPT1/JLPT2 and English)

Overview

AABM Cloud Data Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Japanese Business Analyst fluent in both Japanese and English to join our dynamic Business Operations department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze and document existing and future business processes and workflows across international teams to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Facilitate effective meetings, workshops, and communications between Japanese and English-speaking stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding.
• Provide accurate and professional interpretation during live meetings, conference calls, and presentations.
• Translate a variety of business-related documents, including requirements specifications, reports, presentations, and other critical communications, ensuring accuracy and cultural appropriateness.
• Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders in both Japanese and English, ensuring they are clear, concise, and testable.
• Develop and maintain bilingual reports, presentations, and other communication materials to effectively convey information to diverse audiences.
• Actively support cross-cultural business initiatives and projects, contributing to their successful implementation.
• Identify, analyze, and propose process improvements and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across international operations.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation in both Japanese and English, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

• Native or near-native proficiency in both Japanese and English languages (reading, writing, speaking, and listening).
• Demonstrated strong business communication skills in both Japanese and English, including formal and informal settings.
• Proven ability to accurately and effectively interpret complex technical and business concepts between Japanese and English.
• Experience with professional business writing in both languages, including reports, emails, and formal documentation.
• A strong understanding of cultural business practices and etiquette in both Japanese and English-speaking contexts.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Relations, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst.
• Proven track record of successful Japanese/English interpretation and translation in a business environment.
• Solid experience in gathering, documenting, and managing business requirements.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• A strong understanding of business process modeling methodologies and tools.
• Demonstrated experience working effectively in multicultural and international environments.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• JLPT N1 certification or equivalent advanced Japanese language proficiency.
• Professional Business Analysis certification (e.g., CBAP, CCBA).
• In-depth understanding and experience with Japanese business culture and etiquette.
• Project management experience and familiarity with project management methodologies.
• Knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques.
• Previous experience working within international business operations.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Experience with business process modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Experience with project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana).
• Basic knowledge of SQL is a plus.
• Experience with translation management tools is an advantage.
