What You Will Be Doing

• Orchestrating sophisticated infrastructure transformations, transitioning legacy systems to AWS cloud infrastructure, and executing lift-and-shift migrations.
• Crafting and deploying monitoring strategies, and automating monitoring, software deployment, and operational workflows.
• Engaging in system monitoring, conducting backups, responding to incidents, migrating databases, configuring databases, and optimizing costs.

Cloud Architect Key Responsibilities

• Enhance the reliability and standardization of cloud infrastructure across our expanding product suite by implementing comprehensive monitoring, automation, and adhering to AWS best practices.
  
  

Basic Requirements

• Extensive expertise in AWS infrastructure (our core platform—experience with other clouds won't suffice).
• Proficient programming abilities in Python or JavaScript for creating automation and tools.
• Experience managing and migrating production databases across various engines (including MySql, Postgres, Oracle, MS-SQL).
• Advanced proficiency with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation).
• Expertise in Linux systems administration.

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
