Cloud Engineer

What success looks like in this role:

Responsible for leading client facing role for complex or multi-disciplinary projects or solution team of developers, Solution Architects, Tower Leads, engineers and support associates to meet critical deliverables.
Projects are focused on the creation and maturing of Cloud services supporting critical clients, so consulting and experience in the creation of services is required, supporting a technical understanding of the project scope and the ability to lead and direct skilled technicians.
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects and programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
Communicate clearly, timely and accurately both verbally and written to client, team and Unisys stakeholders
Excellent client relationship skills with the ability to present to and workshop with senior technical client representatives
Strong focus and work ethic, with the ability to maintain the ‘bigger picture’ and drill down into issues and support resolution
Look for and highlight opportunities to upsell further services
Will functionally lead a team of highly skilled cloud technologists.
Showcase innovation in building new solutions and transforming existing applications to more modern platforms.
Leads conceptualization, development, and implementation of new solutions for enterprise systems, networks, or application software.
Provides technical advice and consultation on complex, critical issues, and escalations.
Analysis requirements and enables the teams to architect the new solutions..
Develops client support plans for major projects.
Build high-performing teams across development, quality assurance, and infrastructure.

Will functionally led a team of highly skilled cloud technologists.
Maintaining Weekly governance calls – Internal and client facing. Providing regular progress, escalations and risks updates.
Relationship building with teams and ensuring the deliverables meetings on timelines.

• Designs, builds, and maintains efficient, reusable and reliable software or Infra provisioning in Java, Python, Terraform and/or similar technologies.
• Ensures solutions provide the best possible performance, quality and responsiveness.
• Identifies and recommends solutions for bottlenecks and bugs.
• Works with end users, product, technical and other stakeholders to translate story and use cases into functional products.
• Develops and implements solutions to manage and operate cloud security, governance, storage, monitoring, cost optimization and business continuity
• Works with cross-functional technical colleagues to define best practices and coding standards and enhance existing process.
• Analyzes problem statements and provides feasible and optimal solutions.
• Leverages continuous integration and distribution pipelines to deploy applications and infrastructure as code.
• Performs Docker-based deployment on Kubernetes Clusters.
• Writes and deploys basic build pipelines for Infrastructure and cloud resources.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

BA/BS degree and 4-6 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
