Job Characteristics:In this entry level position, the employee's primary duty is to write code that meets project requirements and complies with documentation and design standards. Assists in writing the standard documentation used to translate project needs into software design specifications. Assists in correcting defects found through QA software testing and RD&E systems testing. Learns about roles played by software engineers in higher grades. Activities contribute to reliable code and documentation.
Education/Work Experience:Degree or Advanced degree in Software engineering or related discipline and fewer than two years of experience.
Independence Level/Reports to:Works under general supervision on assigned tasks or portions of a project. Normally reports to project/program leader or more senior technical leader.
