Position: Cloud System Engineer
Job Description:
Plus91 is looking for a Cloud System Engineer to be a core member of our IT Support Team. You can expect to be challenged and grow in a dynamic environment with technological advancements. You will work side-by-side in a truly collaborative manner with the architecture, operations, sales, marketing, and executive leadership team to provide best in class solutions, services, and customer support. You will collaborate with peers in the Cloud Systems Engineering group to ensure that our solutions and services meet and exceed their client's expectations.
AWS Cloud Engineer / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer responsible for designing, managing, securing, monitoring, and troubleshooting AWS cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and deploy modular cloud-based systems.
- Design AWS solutions, manage cloud infrastructure (EC2, RDS, S3, VPC), implement security and auto-scaling, monitor systems, troubleshoot incidents, and ensure high availability and SLA compliance.
- Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance
- Provide guidance, thought leadership, and mentorship to development teams to build cloud competencies
- Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful design
- Development and system engineering for on all AWS core services
- Ability to troubleshoot distributed systems and exposure to large-scale based system design.
- Configure and maintain the load balancer for the application.
- Keep a track of network/application performance, respond to problems, and deploy solutions on the load balancer.
- Work with API gateway for managing API requests from different Microservices.
- Ability to work with Data Lake using other services like API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, Athena, and Glue.
- Create and maintain Private VPCs and VPNs.
- Work with CloudWatch to monitor the resources and use of SNS to report the same.
- Manage initiatives for migration and modernization in the AWS cloud environment - Past experience with the serverless approaches using AWS Lambda/ECS/Fargate; example, the Serverless Application Model (AWS SAM)
- Modify and improve existing systems.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
Candidate Profile:
You have:
- Hands on experience with Linux/UNIX/Windows systems and the best practices for deploying applications to those stacks.
- Experienced in scripting languages: Python, Bash and Shell.
- Expertise in managing Cloud / VMware resources and good exposure on Dockers and Kubernetes.
- Strong knowledge of Microservices.
- Ability to work on migration of existing infrastructure with zero downtime to a highly available and scalable one.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Strong notions of security best practices (e.g. using IAM Roles, KMS, etc.)
- Good understanding of database concepts and command over SOL
- Strong AWS knowledge (EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, ELB), cloud architecture, networking, security, monitoring tools (CloudWatch/Zabbix/New Relic), troubleshooting, incident management, and high-availability design.
Awesome to have:
- Expertise of Data Lake
- AWS certifications, experience with automation using AWS Lambda, RDS Proxy, documentation and architecture design, problem-solving skills, communication skills, and knowledge of cloud security best practices.
Education and Experience:
- Computer Science graduate
- 0-2 years of experience architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS platforms
Location:Pune
Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,300,000.00 per year
