Cloud Software Engineer

We are looking for a team member who is passionate about development, has a strong interest in cybersecurity and data protection, and wants to join our collaborative team as a senior software development engineer to help drive our backend cloud infrastructure. This role will report to an engineering manager within the OCTO team. This role involves leading the design, development, testing, and deployment of cloud-based software solutions; contributing to architecture design; mentoring junior developers; and ensuring code quality and compliance. Key responsibilities may also include troubleshooting, performance optimization, and staying up-to-date with cloud technologies. This is a hybrid position based in Bangalore. You must be within a commutable distance from the location. You will be required to be onsite on an as-needed basis; when not working onsite, you will work remotely from your home location.

About the role:

• Develops software as the primary job function; designs, develops, debugs, & tests complex platforms to classify malware. Work directly with developers, architects, test engineers, DevOps, and researchers.
• Develop scalable, high-performance, and reliable web applications that operate 24/7.
• Build and deploy microservices and cloud-based applications, preferably on AWS.
• Collaborate with global teams, including Architecture, Product Management, Customer Experience, Security, DevOps, and other departments, to enhance McAfee Consumer Products.
• Follow Agile Scrum methodologies and actively contribute to sprint planning and reviews.

About You:

• Preferably hold a bachelor's/master's degree from a reputable institution in computer engineering with excellent academic track records
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud development, specifically in AWS.
• Own functional areas of the project and lead end-to-end development activities using Python, Java, DynamoDB, and SQL.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS and cloud technologies, including DynamoDB, EMR jobs, Lambda, Docker, and Kubernetes.
