Computer Network Technician

Overview

Key Responsibilities of a Computer Network Technician:

• Install and Configure Network Hardware and Software:
• Set up routers, switches, firewalls, and servers.
• Install and configure network operating systems and utilities.
• Maintain and Monitor Network Systems:
• Monitor network performance to ensure optimal operation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity and performance issues.
• Network Security Support:
• Implement and maintain network security measures, such as firewalls and antivirus solutions.
• Monitor for unauthorized access, viruses, and other security threats.
• Troubleshoot Network Issues:
• Diagnose and repair hardware, software, and other network and system problems.
• Respond to network outages and restore connectivity.
• Provide Technical Support:
• Support end-users by resolving network-related issues.
• Document support cases and solutions for future reference.
• Manage Network Infrastructure:
• Maintain cabling, wireless access points, and other physical network infrastructure.
• Keep network diagrams and documentation up to date.
• Perform Regular System Backups and Updates:
• Ensure regular backups of network configurations and data.
• Apply software patches and firmware updates as needed.
• Collaborate with IT Teams:
• Work closely with system administrators, software developers, and IT support staff.
• Assist in the planning and implementation of new network solutions.
• Maintain Inventory and Documentation:
• Keep records of hardware and software assets.
• Document network configurations and standard operating procedures.
• Stay Current with Technology Trends:
• Continually upgrade knowledge of networking technologies and industry standards.
• Attend training sessions, certifications, or workshops as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
