Summary: As a Custom Software Engineer, your typical day will involve analyzing, designing, coding, and testing various components of application code for multiple clients. You will engage in maintenance and enhancement tasks, ensuring that the software meets the evolving needs of users while adhering to best practices in software development. Collaboration with team members will be essential as you contribute to the overall success of projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables and timely completion of tasks. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical insights. - Document processes and code changes to maintain clear communication within the team. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in IBM Information Management System (IMS) Database. - Good To Have Skills: Experience with Cobol Mainframe, Job Control Language (JCL). - Strong understanding of database management principles and practices. - Experience in application development and maintenance in a mainframe environment. - Familiarity with software testing methodologies and tools.
