About the Role

We are seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about cybersecurity, curious about emerging technologies, and highly analytical, capable of deriving accurate insights from complex data. This technical role also includes partial customer-facing responsibilities, helping resolve cybersecurity issues and incidents using XVigil, CloudSEK’s proprietary digital risk monitoring platform.

As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will play a crucial role in detecting, analyzing, and mitigating security threats while collaborating closely with internal teams and external clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Cybersecurity Problem Solving: Identify, analyze, and resolve security incidents, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends, tools, and threat intelligence.
• Network & Security Analysis: Apply knowledge of networking, protocols, firewall, VPN, IDS, and security design principles to detect and mitigate risks.
• Web Application Security: Conduct web application penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
• Programming & Scripting: Develop scripts and automation using Python, Ruby, R, or Bash. Learn new languages and tools as required.
• OSINT / SOCMINT Analysis: Gather actionable intelligence using Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) and Social Media Intelligence (SOCMINT) techniques.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cybersecurity researchers, product developers, AI teams, business development, and customer success teams.
• Customer Engagement: Interact confidently with clients to understand their security issues and communicate effective solutions.
• Time & Task Management: Prioritize tasks effectively, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Solid understanding of common cyber threats, attack vectors, and attack scenarios.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, internet protocols, and security technologies.
• Hands-on experience with web application penetration testing techniques.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Ruby, Java, etc.) and basic Bash scripting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.
• Active participation in cybersecurity communities or forums is a plus.
