Mission and Goals:

The Gen Digital CSIS Engineering team provides the back-end services that powers Gen’s consumer facing applications and our agent tools. We currently serve over 500 million customers via our direct Gen-branded consumer products and partnerships. We are working on several interesting challenges and seeking passionate and experienced technologists to join the team.

The Gen Digital Machine Learning and Predictive Services team is a part of CSIS Engineering and is seeking Data & AI Engineer streamline data services and analytics, develop and audit automated testing, design services for intelligent customer routing, help build data products to retain customers and decrease churn, scale applications to handle substantially increased capacity. In this position you will have hands-on work on the variety of modern technologies, including Cloud Data & AI frameworks, applying them to solve the unique and interesting challenges arising from data pipelines and application development, scaling, and operations. Among other technologies, you’ll leverage SQL and NoSQL databases, design frameworks that leverage cloud services and use modern dev-ops to make a real impact for millions of customers, all while working with a supportive team!

We are looking for a Data & AI Engineer to produce and implement functional AI solutions and ETL frameworks. You will work with Product Managers to define software requirements and take the lead on operational and technical projects.

Data & AI Engineer’s responsibilities include designing and expanding existing Inside Sales Data Lake, ETL management, modern cloud infrastructure and AI products, building software releases and testing the new code. Your ultimate goal will be to design and develop high-quality Data & AI solutions that are aligned with user needs and business goals.

Competencies:

• You have Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field.
• Required: 3+ years experience as a Data Engineer or equivalent software-engineering or data-engineering role.
• You have hands-on experience in building Cloud Data Warehousing solutions and wide range of tools to develop data pipelines, ETL processes, streaming services.
• Required: 3+ years experience with modern Cloud AI products and integration points to drive architectural reviews and solution reviews based on business requirements.
• Agentic AI mindset to increase efficiencies of CSIS Data Lake processes and reduce manual QA effort by the operations.
• You possess a strong command of software-automation production systems (Jenkins, TeamCity, etc.) and automated testing frameworks
• You exhibit extensive expertise in software development, unit tests, scripting, project management methodologies and Agile development environment.
• In-depth knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Python, Ruby, Java) and known DevOps tools like Git and GitHub. Ruby knowledge is preferred.
• Knowledge of Google Cloud services, BigQuery and Vertex APIs is preferred.
• You have expertise with Kubernetes and Docker software and Rest web services.
• In-depth knowledge of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB)
• Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude and ability to work independently
