About the job:

Key responsibilities:

1. Write and maintain complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data.
2. Perform query optimization to improve performance and reduce resource usage on large-scale datasets.
3. Use Python (libraries such as Pandas and NumPy) for data wrangling, cleaning, transformation, and statistical analysis.
4. Automate recurring data tasks such as report generation, data validation, and pipeline monitoring.
5. Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for business growth.
6. Perform data validation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data across systems.
7. Monitor database performance, implement updates, patches, and new versions as required.
8. Participate in database performance tuning and troubleshoot query-related bottlenecks.

Other Requirements:

1. Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.

2. Experience: 1–2 years of hands-on experience in data analysis, database development, or a related role.

3. Database Expertise: Strong understanding of query optimization techniques and performance tuning in relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server).

4. Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python for data analysis, wrangling, and automation tasks.

5. Data Systems: Experience working with relational databases and modern data warehouse systems (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake).

6. Analytical Ability: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, insights, and anomalies in large datasets.

7. Collaboration & Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
