About The Role

At Uber, the Data Analysts will have to help drive analysis behind decisions related to operations, process and optimizations. They will have to create, maintain and communicate detailed reporting to assist both internal and external operations. The role largely requires developing analytical frameworks to support the teams in company in new initiatives and products. They need to be a big-picture thinker and strategic partner. They also need to demonstrate analytical thinking through data-driven decisions and possess the technical know-how, fascination and ability to work with your team to make a big impact.

You will perform a range of activities to analyze data sources to improve business efficiency & effectiveness and deliver qualitative insights, you will be partnering with engineering/DS/Product teams to build analytics solutions

About

The ideal candidate is experienced working with large data sets and data visualization, as well as being passionate about data and analytics. Following would be what you will do day-to-day:

• Work with team members to understand database structure and business processes
• Perform extensive data validation/quality assurance analysis within large datasets
• Has strong business acumen and think holistically about the business and ability to design the analytics framework to execute projects
• Anticipates challenges and remove blockers
• Demonstrate high level of accountability
• Metrics development for analytical needs
• Produce write ups with rigor and clearly describe analysis and models
• Will ensure that proper data structures / solutions are built to draw insights and its fully validated
• Attention to detail, accuracy is a must!
  
  

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of work experience in Analytics/ Business Intelligence/ Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline is mandatory
• Exceptional Analytical, problem-solving, SQL proficiency
• Strong Python skills, experience in data extraction & wrangling
• Exposure to ETL data pipelines
• Expertise in data tech stack: Spark, Hive
• Ability to work with remote teams and across time zones
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• BS / Masters in Maths, statistics, science or any other quantitative discipline
• Good to have experience in BI tools like Looker Studio, Tableau etc.
• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and an understanding of how Generative AI can be applied to data-driven solutions
