About The Data Analyst:

A Data Analyst at Dropbox plays a key role in transforming data into actionable insights that inform strategic decisions across teams such as Product, Marketing, Revenue, and Customer Experience. This role focuses on understanding user behavior, measuring performance, and enabling data-driven decision-making.

What will you do?

• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and manipulate data
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports using visualization tools (Tableau, Salesforce, Power Bi).
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Revenue teams
• Translate complex analyses into clear business recommendations
• Maintain recurring reporting in SFDC, Tableau, Power BI
• Ensure high level of accuracy and quality in all produced work
• Perform ad-hoc analyses to aid in business decisions
  
  

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in sales, business, marketing, statistics, computer science, or mathematics-related fields
• Experience working in a data or technology-focused position, with preference given to database or reporting jobs
• Knowledge of CRM tools such as Salesforce, including report creation and management
• Proficient in SQL
• An expert in Google Sheets by creating reporting visuals, queries, and tables
• Experience building dashboards, tables, and graphs in reporting tools
• Ability to interpret and speak to data and analytics
• Must have efficient time management skills, be organized, and customer service oriented
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially in technical information to non-technical savvy people
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time in front of a computer

Job Description:

we are looking for an energetic, outcome-oriented Data Analyst - Business Intelligence & Analytics - to join our team of experts in Bangalore responsible for accurate data collection, processing, modeling, and analysis. The ideal candidate must have a knack for seeing solutions in sprawling data sets and the business mindset to convert insights into strategic opportunities for our company. The Analytics Manager will work closely with leaders across product, sales, and marketing to support and implement high-quality, data-driven decisions. They will ensure data accuracy and consistent reporting by designing and creating optimal processes and procedures for analytics employees to follow. They will use advanced data modeling, predictive modeling and analytical techniques to interpret key findings from company data and leverage these insights into initiatives that will support business outcomes. The right person for the job will apply their exhaustive knowledge of data analysis to solving real-world problems faced by our company and finding opportunities for improvement across multiple projects, teams and business units.

Key Responsibilities & What will you need to succeed in this role?

• Manage end-to-end data analysis projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define objectives, deliverables, and actionable insights using statistical techniques on structured/unstructured data.
• Collect, clean, and organize data from spreadsheets, databases, and external sources into Excel/Google Sheets, handling missing values, duplicates, and accuracy via formulas, filters, and PivotTables.
• Conduct exploratory analysis to identify trends, patterns, and correlations using VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, conditional formatting, Power Query for ETL, and PivotTables for summarization.
• Design interactive reports, charts, and dashboards in Excel/Google Sheets and tools like Looker, Tableau, Power BI; automate tasks with VBA macros/Google Apps Script for weekly/monthly/daily deliverables.
• Perform regular data quality assessments, implement ETL processes, and maintain visually appealing dashboards to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and business value.
• In Hands experience in Excel/Google Sheets (Power Query, PivotTables, VBA, Apps Script) and data visualization tools like Looker, Tableau, Power BI.
• Experience with ETL processes, data cleaning, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver business impact.
• Qualifications:
• A graduate with 1–3 years of experience in position monitoring and insight generation.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL or similar ETL languages.
• In hand experience in data visualization tools including Looker, Salesforce, Tableau, Power BI, and comparable platforms, with proficiency in creating interactive dashboards, advanced analytics, and compelling data stories to drive business insights
• Demonstrated knowledge or experience in applying statistical techniques, and predictive techniques.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and drive data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams effectively.
