Role Overview
As a Data Analyst at Urban Company, you’ll play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions across category operations. You will be working closely with stakeholders to solve complex business problems with a data-first approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze large-scale operational and customer and partner datasets to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for growth or optimization.
- Design and maintain dashboards and automated reports that track key performance indicators such as supply reliability, conversion rates, repeat behavior, and NPS.
- Work closely with category leaders and central teams to define problem statements, scope analyses, and present findings in a clear and actionable manner.
- Support A/B testing, pilot evaluations, and initiative deep-dives. Help quantify impact and suggest next steps.
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and timeliness of data. Proactively flag anomalies and recommend corrective actions.
- Automate repetitive tasks using scripts or BI tools to reduce manual overhead and enhance team productivity.
What We’re Looking For
- 1–3 years of experience in analytics, preferably in a startup, consulting, e-commerce, or operations-heavy environment.
- Proficiency in SQL is a must; working knowledge of Excel, Python (Pandas/Numpy), or R is a plus.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio.
- Strong analytical mindset with a problem-solving orientation and structured thinking.
- Ability to work in ambiguity, thrive under pressure, and deliver high-quality output quickly.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to simplify complex findings for a non-technical audience.
- A collaborative team player who takes ownership and drives initiatives independently.
