Job Summary: Wissen Technology is seeking an experienced Data Architect to design and manage AWS-based enterprise data platforms. This role involves architecting scalable data pipelines, enabling analytics, and implementing governance frameworks that support strategic business decision-making. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS services, data lakehouse architectures, and data governance frameworks.

Experience: 8- 15 years

Location: Bangalore

Mode of Work: Full time -hybrid

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement AWS Data Lake architectures using services such as S3, Glue, Athena, EMR, Redshift Spectrum, and Sprinkle Data.
  
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines to support both batch and real-time data ingestion.
  
• Define and manage Silver/Gold layer transformations in the data lakehouse architecture.
  
• Ensure data governance, lineage, and security compliance with modern frameworks and best practices.
  
• Collaborate with BI teams to enable efficient reporting and analytics in Power BI.
  
• Provide architectural guidance, mentor data engineers, and support onboarding of new data sources.
  
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
  
  

Requirements:

• 8–15 years of experience in data architecture or data engineering.
  
• Strong expertise in AWS services: S3, Glue, EMR, Athena, Redshift Spectrum.
  
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Spark for data transformations.
  
• Strong knowledge of data lakehouse architectures (Bronze/Silver/Gold layers).
  
• Hands-on experience with data governance and lineage tools (e.g., Sprinkle or similar).
  
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  
  
  

Good to have skills:

• AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty or AWS Solutions Architect certification.
  
• Prior experience in finance, consulting, or enterprise-scale analytics projects.
  
• Familiarity with data cataloging and lineage tools.
  
• Knowledge of cloud cost optimization and data security best practices.
