Data Engineer

Overview

About the Role:
We are looking for a talented and motivated Data Engineer with 5 to 8 years of experience in data engineering, with a strong emphasis on pipeline development and data modeling. The ideal candidate will also have a proven track record of leading small teams or mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data into cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift).
• Implement scalable data integration solutions using ETL/ELT tools like Matillion, dbt, or Striim.
• Cleanse and transform raw data to meet business and technical requirements.
• Develop and maintain data models for relational and NoSQL databases.
• Lead or mentor junior engineers and ensure high-quality code and practices are followed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver end-to-end data solutions.
• Contribute to the DevOps process, including version control (GitHub), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
• Leverage cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and utilize related data services.

Mandatory Skills:

• Proficiency in Python or Scala.
• Experience with data warehousing and ETL/ELT tools (Matillion, dbt, Striim).
• Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Solid understanding of data integration frameworks, data modeling, and pipeline development.

Preferred/Additional Skills:

• Experience in successfully delivering at least one end-to-end project involving complex transformation layers.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Airflow, Control-M).
• Experience with Agile development practices.
• Understanding of coding standards, testing strategies, and CI/CD implementation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹510,381.37 - ₹1,864,102.05 per year
