Data Engineer

The Data Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and architectures. This role works closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure data is accessible, reliable, and optimized for various analytical and operational needs.

• Develop, construct, test, and maintain data architectures, including databases and large-scale processing systems.
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability.
• Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from a wide variety of data sources.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to support their data needs and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and workflows to ensure smooth operation.
• Execute steady state operating and monitoring procedures for our data warehouse and periodic 24x7 on-call support as necessary

What You Bring to the Table

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
• Basic experience with big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and data pipeline tools (e.g., Apache Nifi, Airflow) and programming languages (Java, Python, ABAP, SQL)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Language Proficiency: fluent in English, both spoken and writte
