Overview
This position is for a Sr Data engineer with primary role is to take care of MySQL database administration and must be enthusiastic to work with other DBMS technologies like Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Postgres.
Role and Responsibilities:
Ø 5+ Years experience in MySQL database administration, operations, and production support
Ø Candidate must have excellent knowledge in resolving MySQL database performance tuning issues.
Ø Candidate must have experience in Monitoring, back up/ Recovery Management, DB Provisioning/de-provisioning, DB refresh/restore, HA/DRE, Patching, migration, replication and upgradation.
Ø Understanding of Incident Management, Problem Management and Change Management
Ø Experience in ticketing tools such as Service Now and support oncall duties.
Ø Ability to document solutions and train operational teams.
Ø Experience with other DBMS platform(SQL Server/Oracle/Postgres) will be an added advantage.
Ø Experience in Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) Cloud Control, SQL Server, Postgres, DB2 is a plus.
Ø Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ø Flexible, team player, get-it-done personality.
Ø Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams
Ø Certifications in this area is plus.

Key Skills: MySQL DBA
Ø MySQL database administration, operations, and production support., Backup and Recovery, clustering, resolving database issues, resolving MySQL installations issues, bin log,
Ø Implement and manage MySQL replication topologies (e.g., master-slave, group replication)
Ø Good understanding with High Availability Concepts
Ø Good knowledge on Storage engine, troubleshooting slow running queries.
Ø Logical approach to work and ability to prioritize the tasks.
Ø Experience in database and application performance tuning

Qualifications - External
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience of around 5+ years in MySQL administration.
Good communication skills.
Team Player and willing to take up challenging work.
Ability to support Oncall, production outages and resolving performance issues.
