About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our growing data team. You will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining our data infrastructure, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) databases.
- Leverage cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) for data storage, processing, and analysis.
- Knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Metabase, Power BI, Looker)
- Collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance through data validation, access controls, and encryption.
- Stay updated on the latest data engineering technologies and best practices.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of data infrastructure and processes.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Essential:
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Shell)
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra)
- Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing principles, and ETL/ELT methodologies.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), including data storage (e.g., Cloud Storage) and data warehousing services (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery)
- Experience with data quality and validation techniques
- Knowledge of data security and privacy best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with BI tools (e.g., Metabase, Power BI, Looker)
Preferred:
- Experience with data warehousing and data lake architectures
- Hands-on experience with data processing frameworks like Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, and stream processing technologies
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
