Data Engineer

Job Description

We seek a skilled Data Engineer with expertise in creating Data pipelines, ETL Jobs, and handling relational(MySQL) and non-relational databases using GCP utilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that can inform forecasting models.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand business requirements and deliver actionable insights.
• Maintain clear and organized documentation of models, data pipelines, and processes.
• Expertise in Node programming language
• Knowledge of creating data pipelines using GCP data engineering utilities like
• Google Cloud Storage
• Google Cloud Dataflow
• Cloud Pub/Sub
• BigQuery
• Google Cloud Data Fusion
• Cloud function
• Google Cloud Data Studio
• MySQL Database Management:
• Design, implement, and maintain MySQL database systems.
• Perform routine database maintenance tasks, such as backups, updates, and optimizations.
• Monitor database performance and resolve any issues promptly.
• Implement and enforce database security best practices.
• Performance Optimization:
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks in database systems.
• Collaborate with developers to optimize database queries and improve application performance.
• Implement caching and indexing strategies to enhance database performance.
• Data Security and Compliance:
• Implement and enforce data security measures, including access controls and encryption.
• Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Disaster Recovery and Backup:
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for database systems.
• Perform regular backups and test data recovery procedures.
• Documentation and Training:
• Create and maintain documentation for database configurations and procedures.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal teams or clients as needed.
• Good to have experience with NoSQL databases

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Data Science.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results on time.
• Adaptability to evolving technology and business requirements.
