Overview
Responsibilities
- Design scalable data models on Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, and Redshift.
- Develop and optimise ETL pipelines and applications.
- Analyse and improve existing systems using modern frameworks.
- Deliver clear technical documentation.
- Optimise cloud databases for performance.
- Collaborate with analysts and data scientists.
- Ensure data security and compliance.
- Stay updated on the latest cloud technologies.
- Familiarity with Snowflake's and Databricks' architecture and features is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with data processing frameworks like Apache Spark or Hadoop.
- Knowledge of data modeling and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
- Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- 3+ years in software or data engineering with cloud expertise.
- Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
- Experience in ETL, performance tuning, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- An analytical mindset and excellent communication skills.
