Responsibilities

- Design, build, and manage scalable data pipelines using Kafka, Spark, and AWS Glue.
- Architect data lake and warehouse schemas for efficient querying.
- Implement stream and batch ETL processes with orchestration tools (Airflow).
- Optimize data partitioning, storage tiering, and cost.
- Collaborate with analysts and data scientists to serve analytical and ML-ready datasets.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for pipeline health.
- Strong experience in building data pipelines with Apache Kafka, Spark/Glue, and Airflow.
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS preferred), S3 Athena, IAM, Kinesis, Redshift/Snowflake.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Parquet/ORC formats.
- Experience with data modelling for analytics (star/snowflake schema).
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and cost management.
- Experience with real-time stream processing (Apache Flink/Kinesis Data Analytics).
- Exposure to ML/AI workflows (Databricks/SageMaker).
- Knowledge of Terraform/CDK for infrastructure automation.
- Understanding of data quality frameworks (Great Expectations, Deequ).
- Familiarity with Presto/Trino, Delta Lake, Apache Doris, or Apache Iceberg.
