Data Engineer

Overview

Navtech is looking for a Data Engineer with strong analytical thinking and hands-on experience in building and maintaining data pipelines. You will work closely with engineering and product teams to ensure efficient data flow, data quality, and scalable data infrastructure.

Working as a Data Engineer at Navtech, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Work with structured and unstructured data to build scalable data solutions.
• Develop and optimize data models, schema designs, and data architecture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements
• Implement best practices for data quality, governance, and validation.
• Manage and optimize data storage using SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading using modern data tools.
• Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.

Who are we looking for?

• 1+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Python/SQL for data processing.
• Experience with ETL tools or frameworks (Airflow, dbt, Luigi, etc.)—even basic understanding is fine for 1+ yrs.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Experience with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery is a plus).
• Good understanding of API integrations and working with data from multiple sources.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in CS, IT, Software Engineering, or related fields in English medium throughout.
