Role Overview

We are looking for an energetic, highly skilled Data Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join our dynamic engineering team. This role is perfect for someone who loves solving complex data challenges, thrives in fast-paced environments, and wants to work closely with top leadership in a high-impact role.

You will own the design, development, and optimization of data pipelines that fuel product decisions, personalization, gaming analytics, and platform intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the right stakeholders receive accurate, actionable data at the right time to drive informed decisions.
• Understand analytical and business requirements and design scalable, reliable data pipelines around them.
• Develop, test, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines for both batch and real-time data processing.
• Leverage open-source tooling, AWS/GCP or Databricks to automate and optimize data workflows.
• Collaborate with Product, Data, and Engineering teams to resolve data-related issues and support broader data infrastructure needs.
• Participate in data mart and data model design discussions, ensuring strong architectural foundations.
• Write efficient, clean, and maintainable Spark / Hive / Athena / Python code following best practices and design patterns.
• Build robust data ingestion integrations across a variety of structured and unstructured data sources.
• Identify data quality gaps and develop automated data validation and cleanup jobs.
• Build internal analytics tools and frameworks that enable insights into gaming behavior, customer acquisition, retention, and operational efficiency.
• Create and maintain clear, up-to-date documentation of the entire data ecosystem.
  
  

• BE/B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Top-tier colleges preferred).
• Strong understanding of Big Data warehousing, data modeling, Python, SQL, and APIs.
• Hands-on experience with AWS/GCP cloud platforms and their managed data services.
• Solid understanding of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data formats and file types.
• Proficiency in SQL query writing and familiarity with NoSQL and SQL database systems.
• Strong knowledge of Big Data concepts, RDBMS fundamentals, and cloud computing.
• Familiarity with core Data Engineering foundations, including ETL/ELT architecture and pipeline design.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and propose solutions.
• Smart, highly motivated, quick to learn, and team-focused.
• Basic understanding of ML concepts, MLOps pipelines, and GenAI fundamentals.
• Working knowledge of Linux, shell scripting, and Java is a plus.
