Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Python Developer with strong Data Engineering capabilities to build scalable backend systems and manage data pipelines. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Python-based backend development, data wrangling, ETL workflows, and working with visualization tools like Grafana or Apache Superset. You will work closely with backend, DevOps, and analytics teams to develop data-centric applications and dashboards that provide business insights in real time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain robust backend logic using Python (3.x preferred).
- Build, monitor, and optimize data pipelines and ETL workflows.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs to expose data and analytics services.
- Work with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.).
- Develop and maintain dashboards using Grafana, Apache Superset, or similar tools.
- Ensure high-performance and scalable data services.
- Collaborate with DevOps for deployment, CI/CD, and containerization.
- Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks in data pipelines and backend systems.
- Work closely with frontend, analytics, and product teams to meet business data requirements.
- Participate in architecture planning, code reviews, and team discussions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on experience in Python backend development.
- Experience with at least one Python web framework (Django, Flask, or FastAPI).
- Solid understanding of ETL pipelines, data ingestion, and batch/stream processing.
- Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Grafana, Apache Superset, or similar.
- Good understanding of REST API design and integration.
- Version control with Git.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
Good to Have:
- Experience with message brokers like Kafka, RabbitMQ.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Basic knowledge of frontend technologies (React, HTML, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Familiarity with data modelling, data warehousing, and big data tools is a bonus.
