About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer with expertise in GCP, DBT, and Spark to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building scalable data pipelines, optimizing data workflows, and contributing to a high-performance data infrastructure in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Build transformation logic using DBT (Data Build Tool) and Google Dataform.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, primarily in BigQuery.
• Implement data transformation workloads using PySpark/Spark SQL.
• Contribute to CI/CD automation, version control, and deployment using Git and DevOps best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the pipeline.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 8–12 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Strong hands-on expertise with DBT and/or Google Dataform.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL, with deep experience in BigQuery performance optimization.
• Proficiency in GCP data services (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, etc.).
• Solid experience with PySpark and Spark SQL for distributed data processing.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD, Git, and Agile methodologies.
• Proven ability to work in collaborative and fast-paced environments.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with data cataloging tools or observability frameworks.
• Exposure to data governance or compliance-related workflows.
