W e are looking for a Senior Data Scientist with 5 + years of strong predictive modeling experience using machine learning techniques with a minimum of 2 + years of experience leading a team of data scientists in building predictive models to address challenging business problems. The ideal candidate will have direct, hands-on experience and is experienced leading a team of data scientists in data wrangling , data visualization, statistical analysis and building predictive, m achine learning models using supervised, unsupervised, and semi-supervised techniques.

Responsibilities:

• Understand the business use case, conduct preliminary analysis and propose potential solutions using statistical and predictive modeling techniques to solve the client’s problems.
• P erform feasibility analysis of proposed solutions through data exploration and build ing proof of concept predictive models .
• Supervise and train a team of data scientists in building advanced analytical and predictive models using large volumes of structured, semi-structured and chaotic data. Help the team conduct research and pull data from disparate data sources and prepare data prior to building models on a variety of use cases.
• Apply analytical reasoning to solve multiple challenges such as data imbalance, overfitting, etc . to improve model performance. Investigate model outcomes using feature importance , SHAP analysis, etc. to interpret model s . Share findings with team for technical review and feedback .
• Work in a highly collaborative atmosphere with data scientists and team leaders from different geo graphic locations.
• Share model methodology and outcomes with project leadership and senior management for technical review and feedback.
• Mentor team members and guide them as a technical and business SME and help them grow in their car e e r .

Skills & Qualifications:

Required:

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a fundamental understanding of Statistical and Machine Learning algorithms . Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Strong problem-solving skills with emphasis on predictive modeling at the individual level .
• Strong understanding of algorithmic bias and implications is preferred
• Strong understanding of gradient boosting, logistic regression and other classification algorithms.
• Experience in explainable AI, particularly SHAP.
• A passion for leading a team of data scientists and help them grow in their careers.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at a time .
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills .
• Should have Master’s degree or greater in Engineering/Computer Science/Statistics/Mathematics or other quantitative field . PhD preferred.

• Experience with building and deploy ing models in any of the cloud services is appreciated
• Hands-on experience with prompt engineering and other GenAI or LLM-based applications like RAG , etc.
