Description
Mission Statement:
This role is responsible for leveraging data to drive business insights and decisions across various domains. As a Data Scientist, you will analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights, build predictive models, and support data-driven decision-making processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, product manage-ment, and business stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver solutions that drive business value. You must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and be proficient in working both independently and in teams.
Your Responsibilities:
Analysing large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions
Building and validating predictive models using statistical and machine learning techniques
Creating clear and compelling visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders
Working closely with engineering, product management, and business teams to understand their data needs and deliver actionable insights
Ensuring data quality and integrity by implementing best practices in data collection, processing, and storage
Developing and maintaining dashboards and reports to track key metrics and performance indicators
Staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve data science practices and methodologies

Your Background:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
10+ years of experience in data science or a related field
Relevant certifications in data science or machine learning will be an added advantage
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R
Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as SQL, Tableau, or Power BI
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within deadlines
Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, or Scikit-learn
Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or AWS
Proficiency in data manipulation libraries such as Pandas and NumPy
Experience with data visualization libraries such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Plotly
Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) libraries such as NLTK or SpaCy
Understanding of deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or MXNet
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
Knowledge of version control systems such as Git
Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to articulate and present ideas to senior management
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Eagerness to learn and enhance knowledge unassisted
Strong networking skills and global orientation
Ability to coach and mentor team members
Effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders

Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
