What you'll do
As a Data Scientist, you’ll combine human insight and perspective with modern data science tools to gain an unparalleled understanding of our customers, and far more powerful predictive targeting and modelling.
Day to day, you’ll be:
- Working closely with your stakeholders to understand their needs, define pain points, and identify opportunities to solve them through advanced analytics
- Developing hypotheses and articulating what data needs to be collected, which analyses to run, and the approach that will deliver the most value
- Using predictive analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) to extract insights from big data, including machine learning (ML) models, natural language processing (NLP), and deep learning (DL)
- Building, training and monitoring ML models and writing programs that automate data collection, data processing, model building and model deployment
- Bringing solutions and opportunities to life through
- Clearly conveying the meaning of results, bringing them to life through impactful data visualisation and storytelling
- Providing actionable insights to decision-makers and stakeholders at every level of technical understanding
The skills you'll need
If you have an aptitude for advanced mathematics and statistics and you're curious about the evolving role of data in shaping the next generation of financial services, this could be the job for you.
You’ll demonstrate:
- At least 8 to 12 years of experience in Python and ML libraries, experienced with cloud platforms (AWS, Google AI, IBM Watson) for model deployment, and familiar with web technologies and distributed systems
- Skilled in building autonomous AI systems using frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, and MCP, with strong knowledge of LLMs, transformer architectures, and NLP techniques
- Strong foundation in ML concepts, predictive modeling, deep learning, and optimization; capable of managing and deploying large language models with domain insights
- Proficiency in Tableau or another data visualisation tool
