Position: Database Engineer 2

Experience: 5-8 years

Location: Nagawara, Bangalore

Work Mode: Onsite

Notice Period: Immediate - 15 days serving

Shift Timings: 11 am to 8 pm IST or 1 pm to 10 pm IST / Flexible to work in shifts as needed

Essential Job Functions:

• Implement, maintain, and optimize database structures with a focus on Datawarehouse (Yellowbrick preferred), SQL Server, Cloud Native Databases, and Couchbase.
• Manage on-premises database solutions and ensure seamless integration with cloud services such as AWS and Azure.
• Oversee the installation, configuration, patching, and upgrading of database systems and software.
• Ensure database performance, security, and integrity by developing and enforcing database standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to manage Confluence and Kafka integrations
• Provide strategic input on database technologies and data management strategies.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and database backup procedures.
• Offer technical support and training to staff on database management and troubleshooting
• Design and implement tools and solutions for business continuity and disaster management.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education required: bachelor’s degree or equivalent, relevant work experience
• Area of Study: Computer Science, Information Technology or related field of study or equivalent relevant

work experience

Knowledge and Abilities (Minimum of 3 skills , maximum of 8 skills)

• System Integration: Expertise in integrating various database systems with tools like Confluence and Kafka
• Security Management: Proficiency in implementing effective database security measures.
• Infrastructure as Code, the ability to develop, deploy and manage Database Technologies thru Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Project Management: Skills to manage projects, timelines, and resources effectively.
• Certifications: Certification as a database administrator for either Azure or AWS.
• Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of data protection regulations and the ability to ensure compliance.
