Database Engineer

You will:

• Design, implement, and maintain databases.
• Ensure data integrity and security.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data.
• Create/understand the stored procedures, views, and triggers to automate tasks.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights
• Optimize database performance by fine-tuning queries and indexing strategies.
• Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues.
• Execute data migration tasks when necessary, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers and system administrators.
• Provide support to application developers for database-related issues.
• Work closely with business analysts and data scientists to understand data requirements if required.
• Document database schema, configurations, and processes.
• Keep documentation up-to-date with any changes.
• Stay updated with advanced SQL concepts, best practices and features

You have:

• Proficiency in SQL and relational database management systems.
• Experience of 1-3 years is required in SQL.
• Understanding of database design principles.
• Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Relevant certifications in SQL or database management can be a plus.
• Ability to work under own initiative
• A flexible approach and ability to adapt
• Knowledge of the share market can be a plus.
