Developer III - SQL Developer

Overview

We are seeking a skilled SQL Developer with 3-4 years of hands-on experience to design, develop, and optimize database solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL programming, performance tuning, ETL processes, and working with relational databases. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to support application development, reporting, and data management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Perform database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
• Troubleshoot database-related issues, discrepancies, and performance bottlenecks.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational standards.
• Support reporting requirements by building and optimizing views, materialized views, and datasets.
• Contribute to best practices in database development.
• Work with business analysts to translate requirements into data-driven solutions.
  
  

• 3-4 years of hands-on SQL development experience.
• Strong knowledge of RDBMS such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
• Expertise in writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Knowledge of database concepts: normalization, indexing, partitioning, transactions, query execution plans.
• Ability to troubleshoot performance issues and interpret execution plans.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  
  

• Experience with cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL).
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra) is a plus.
• Exposure to BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Basic understanding of Python or scripting for automation.
