DevOps/CloudOps Engineer- Kubernetes

How You Will Contribute

Blue Planet, a division of Ciena, delivers cutting-edge intelligent automation software and specialized professional services to modernize IT and network operations. Leveraging policy-driven insights and AI-based analytics, Blue Planet empowers digital transformation through adaptive networks and closed-loop automation tools.

Responsibilities Include

• Configure, automate, maintain, and troubleshoot Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain CI/CD tools for software pipeline automation.
• Deploy Blue Planet applications in AWS environments or other cloud platforms.
• Administer, monitor, troubleshoot, and automate application processes.
• Implement and operate high availability (HA), geo-redundant, and zero-downtime upgrade solutions.
• Perform daily operational tasks and provide support to end-users, including product and project developers.
  
  

The Must Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• Minimum of 3+ years of relevant CloudOps/DevOps experience.
• Proficiency in Linux OS configuration, automation, and troubleshooting.
• Expertise in CI/CD development and maintenance processes.
• Hands-on experience with AWS/Azure/GCP services, Ansible, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Strong scripting skills in Shell and Python.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like TeamCity/GitLab and source control systems such as GitLab/Bitbucket.
• Excellent documentation skills.
  
  

Nice to Haves

• Experience with CI/CD for SaaS applications.
• Knowledge of monitoring frameworks like Prometheus or Nagios.
• Familiarity with OSS and telecom domain expertise.
• Exposure to OpenShift Cloud Platform, networking concepts, and security protocols.
• Collaboration skills with stakeholders and global teams.
• Ability to attend status calls and work closely with product development teams.
