About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our fast-growing engineering team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing scalable infrastructure and deployment pipelines in cloud-based environments. You'll play a key role in automating operations, managing infrastructure as code, supporting data pipelines, and ensuring high availability and performance of services.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with software developers, data engineers, QA teams, and system architects to improve system reliability, enable faster deployments, and build robust DevOps practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable, highly available infrastructure using AWS cloud services.
• Build and maintain Kubernetes clusters, ensuring proper monitoring, logging, scaling, and security policies.
• Develop and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines (using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar) to automate testing, building, and deployment of applications.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to optimize and manage ETL pipelines and job orchestration frameworks.
• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools to automate environment provisioning and configuration management.
• Monitor system performance, reliability, and security through tools like Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK Stack, etc.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues in development, staging, and production environments.
• Manage container lifecycle, registries, secrets, and policies across development and production environments.
• Work closely with development and QA teams to ensure smooth integration and delivery processes.
• Advocate for DevOps best practices and help foster a culture of automation, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field.
• 6+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or similar roles in a cloud-native environment.
• Expert in Kubernetes (EKS or self-managed) and containerization (Docker).
• Deep knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.).
• Proven experience building and managing robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficient with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Groovy for automation tasks.
• Hands-on experience managing and optimizing ETL workflows and batch processing in production environments.
• Strong understanding of system security, networking concepts, and monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and branching strategies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  
  

Nice to Have

• Experience with other cloud providers like GCP or Azure.
• Familiarity with data pipeline tools such as Apache Airflow, dbt, or similar.
• Exposure to ML/AI workflows and infrastructure optimization for data-heavy applications.
• Certifications in AWS, Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD), or other relevant technologies.
