The Customer Enablement Engineer - DevOps, will be responsible for building, administering, maintaining, provisioning, and documenting hands-on learning environments for our curriculum of big data training courses. In this role you’ll have the opportunity to develop strong knowledge and expertise on building and deploying Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) Base, Private Cloud, and Public Cloud. You will build exercises environments to educate Cloudera’s field and clients on how to build, operate, maintain, and automated CDP. Responsibilities include provisioning for class delivery and troubleshooting issues in support of class delivery.

As the DevOps Engineer you will

• Design, implement, and manage the company's CI/CD pipelines to automate software builds, testing, and deployments.
• Build and maintain the cloud infrastructure across development, testing, and production environments.
• Develop and champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and strategies.
• Automate the provisioning and configuration of systems to ensure fast, consistent, and reliable deployments.
• Provide on-call support for production systems, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to infrastructure, performance, and operations.
• Implement and maintain robust monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system health and performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize application architecture for scalability and reliability.
• Manage data security, governance, lineage, and metadata practices within the infrastructure.

We’re excited about you if you have:

• Demonstrable experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), with required expertise in writing Ansible playbooks and roles.
• Proficiency with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes; experience with OpenShift is a strong plus.
• Expertise in scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
• Advanced Linux administration skills.
• Proven experience with CI/CD tools and build automation strategies.
• Systems administration-level knowledge of networking protocols such as LDAP, HTTP/Apache, DNS/BIND, SSH, and NFS.
• Experience with data management systems, including relational databases and data warehousing solutions.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and independently.
• Adept at managing time effectively, meeting deadlines, and clearly communicating project status and risks.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a remote, distributed team.
