Airbus is looking for a Devops Engineer to join in Bangalore, India, to support the Project and run mode as The Devops Engineer - TDM is part of IIDPPT siglum located in India. He/she is responsible for the TDM perimeter products here in India. Success of this position will require strong international collaboration with global Airbus teams.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the evolution of the TDM Application overall landscape for the group by leveraging new digital capabilities and to enable a step change for the coming years.

PLM Physical product & operations team within IM GIC india is responsible for working with PLM tools and, the PLM Operational Support Community provides services which enable end-users (internal and suppliers) to efficiently use deployed Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) solutions on a day-to-day basis and to facilitate the security as well as the quality of data generated and modified with these solutions.

PLM Physical product & operations in AIRBUS focuses on supporting all solutions used for the conception and development of Aircraft.

DevOps Engineering opportunities have arisen in Information Management (IM) in Airbus. You will be working in Scaled Agile Framework development teams and also solve daily operational issues (incidents/problems) and participate actively in crisis calls.

Qualification & Experience :

• Engineering graduate with 3 - 6 years of relevant experience

• DevOps mindset (“you build it, you run it”, taking responsibility for your work, solving problems with automation, transparency, etc.)

• Strong development experience in a programming language such as Java, Groovy mandatory and good to have on Ruby, Python, JavaScript

• PLM application (3DX, VPM, ENOVIA V6) is a good to have

• Basic plugin development knowledge using Eclipse RCP /IntelliJ

• Good Hands on experience in Devops pipeline setup for Desktop applications and architecture design

• Experience in hosting, integration, storage, networks, and DevOps automation engineering

• Experience with automated configuration management technologies such as Puppet, Chef or Ansible , Saltstack and ControlM

• Experience with CI/CD methodologies, processes and tools, such as Atlassian products, Jenkins, etc

• Experience with logging & event management tools such as Splunk, ELK Stack, Greylog,ZABBIX, etc

• Backup & recovery procedures and technologies, data storage and retention requirements

• Experience in working in and with Agile delivery teams / projects / programs

• Hands-on experience in Test automation knowledge and working experience on JUnit (Jira X-Ray, Postman, Cucumber, and Selenium).

• Preferable experience with any of the container technologies like Docker , podman and Singularity.

• Preferable Experience in large-scale, high volume and high availability critical systems in Cloud environment such as Amazon Web Services, Azure or Google Cloud

• Knowledge of the Aerospace domain is desirable but not mandatory

• Willingness to travel for long & short term to Europe

Responsibilities

• Building & maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines

• Developing automation test scripts to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of deployment of applications

• Develop and implement integrated and automated DevSecOps capability for our applications

• Understanding customer requirements and project KPIs

• Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure

• Planning the team structure, activities, and involvement in project management activities.

• Managing stakeholders and external interfaces

• Setting up tools and required infrastructure

• Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation

• Have the technical skill to review, verify, and validate the software code developed in the project.

• Troubleshooting techniques and fixing the code bugs

• Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage

• Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible

• Identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management

• Incidence management and root cause analysis

• Coordination and communication within the team and with customers

• Mentoring and guiding the team members

• Monitoring and measuring customer experience and KPIs

• Managing periodic reporting on the progress to the management and the customers

Qualification & Experience:

Bachelor/ Master Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or relevant field with 3+ years in IT.
